Meet the Team
Diane
Owner
My dog training experience started in 2006 when I adopted my first rescue dog who was severely fearful. After putting him through basic and advanced obedience, I continued my education by devouring every book, mentoring with several trainers, and working with hundreds of dogs in my local shelter. I trained neighborβs dogs, served on the board of a local AKC club and a Siberian Husky rescue for years, competed in rally with my personal dogs, and trained 2 of my dogs to be certified therapy dogs (not service dogs).
In 2016, I started my own business with a focus on rescue dogs, behavioral problems common in adolescent and rescue dogs, aggressive dogs, and service and therapy dogs. I am a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals and fully insured. I live in Adams county PA with my dogs, cattle, various poultry, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and a tarantula.
Bashitser (aka Bash)
Senior Team Member
Bash is a 3 year old Armenian Gampr. He came from working farm parents to join my pack of working LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) on my homestead. When he is not protecting the herd from predators, he is my main demo dog, helping fearful and reactive dogs to navigate the world.
Tibbers
Team Member
Tibbers is an Akita I rescued in May 2024. She was set to be euthanized for biting a child in the face. She's good with other dogs and often ignores other humans and animals. Although she's a senior dog, she has a lot of spunk and enjoys adventures. When we go out in public, she wears a muzzle due to the unpredictability of strangers trying to pet her. The muzzle protects her and others. Tibbers enjoys playing with her doggy friends, snuggling in a warm bed, and dressing up. She helps with reactive and aggressive dogs.
Rumble
Team Member in Training
Rumble is a young Siberian husky I adopted from HSOV in November 2024. He was turned into the shelter for pulling over his elderly owner and shattering her shoulder. He was adopted out once but was returned for biting a child during play. (Yes, there's a theme for how I end up with dogs. π) Rumble is a typical Siberian, full of energy, incredibly smart, and fiercely independent. He's working on learning all the important life skills to be a great demo dog.
Bobcat and Willump
Prey Drive Helpers
Bobcat and Willump help me work with dogs that have high prey drive. I found Bobcat in a ditch when I was walking my dogs. He was injured and ended up needing his tail amputated, hence the name. Willump was found wandering a neighborhood and caught in a squirrel trap. A client of mine heard about her and connected us.
Riko
Retired Team Member
Riko was adopted from a shelter in Cleveland, OH when he was a year old. He was extremely dog aggressive (to the point that heβd react to hearing chains on a bus). After intensive training, he was able to pass his therapy dog test and become certified. He was my demo dog and my guinea pig for teaching new skills. He demonstrated behaviors for dogs to imitate and helped when we work with dog reactive dogs.
When we moved to a farm, his intense prey drive became the next challenge to overcome. Despite his love for killing things, he learned to live peacefully with free ranging poultry and livestock of all kinds.
